About owning an Oriental Cat...
As with any animal, a cat is a comitment for, hopefully, many a year. Oriental cats are a breed quite unlike your average Domestic Short Hair cat. They are certainly more vocal and depending on the individual, will happily chat for as long as they can. They love company, not only human but of other animals. They co-exist happily with other pets and will integrate into a family of established animals with apparent ease. My girls are home lovers, one hardly leaving the house and one going for a morning walk around the farm everyday. They will hunt, but mine have only ever caught mice.
They make excellent companions for sympathetic children and enjoy handling. My Orientals have never scratched or bitten and are usually to be found warming children's laps or enjoying a game!
I would advise you read up on the breed before acquiring an Oriental of your own.
